ZemaF e.V. at the 30th Western Balkans Salon at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin
On 8 September 2026, ZemaF e.V., represented by Dr. Marija Treneva, attended the breakfast held as part of the 30th Western Balkans Salon at the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) in Berlin.
Under the motto “Balkan Innovativ: New Impetus for Economic Growth and Prosperity,” the event brought together representatives from diplomacy, business, and civil society to discuss innovation, economic development, and opportunities for closer cooperation between the Western Balkans, Germany, and the European Union.
The discussion focused on the German ambassadors to the countries of the Western Balkans:
Petra Drexler – German Ambassador to North Macedonia;
Karl Bergner – German Ambassador to Albania;
Alfred Grannas – German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Anke Holstein – German Ambassador to Serbia; and
Rainer Rudolph – German Ambassador to Kosovo.
The discussion offered different perspectives on current developments in the region and the opportunities for strengthening economic and European cooperation. At the same time, the event provided space for direct dialogue and the establishment of new professional contacts among the participants.
For ZemaF e.V., participation in such events represents an important opportunity to contribute to dialogue, build meaningful connections, and further strengthen its network between North Macedonia, Germany, and the wider Western Balkans region.
A valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives, establish new professional contacts, and advance dialogue and cooperation between Germany and the countries of the Western Balkans.
