On 22 May 2026, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Ylber Sela and Dr. Marija Treneva, President of ZemaF e.V., welcomed scientist Dr. Sanja Panovska from the German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam to the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Berlin. Dr. Panovska leads a European Research Council project worth €2 million and was named by Tagesspiegel in 2025 as one of Berlin’s 100 most important scientists. The meeting focused on future initiatives, collaborations and events in the fields of science and education, as well as the promotion and support of successful Macedonian scientists and professionals in Germany.
